‘Buildings are responsible for approximately 50 per cent of the UK's energy consumption and carbon emissions. Homes currently account for 27% of the UK's carbon emissions whilst commercial properties and public buildings currently account for nearly 25%, contributing to global climate change’.*
Energize Wales Ltd has been established as a result of the conscious and growing need to reduce our energy consumption both in terms of cost to the consumer and CO2 levels in the atmosphere, which in some part contributes to global warming and its associated effects.
The way in which we light, heat and use our buildings all contribute to this. Even small improvements to the energy performance and the way we use our buildings could have a significant effect on our fuel bills and carbon emissions.
Energize Wales Ltd are energy consultants and we offer energy assessments
to local and regional clients in both domestic and commercial sectors.
An energy assessment means the preparation and issuing of an energy
performance certificate (EPC) and the accompanying recommendation
report (RR), and the carrying out of any inspections undertaken
for the purpose of issuing the EPC or RR.
All commercial and domestic properties (with
little exception) for sale, lease or rent must have available an
commercial energy performance certificate C- EPC or domestic energy
performance certificate EPC. This work is part of European legislation -
the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).
